Q.

Do I have to pay to enter Splashtown if I am not planning to swim or slide?

A.

Due to limited space, everyone must purchase either a Splashtown or Combination pass to be admitted into Splashtown. Remember, a child under 48" tall must be accompanied into Splashtown by a person that is 48" or taller having a Splashtown or Combination bracelet.

 

 

Q.

What are the busiest/slowest days?

A.

For Funtown, (July and August) it really depends on the weather but, Sundays and Mondays tend to be the least busy. For the ultimate ride time visit weekends in May, anytime in June, and late August. For Splashtown it depends on the weather.

 

 

Q.

Can we leave the park once we are inside?

A.

Yes, if you keep your bracelets on, you can leave and return in the same day.

What are the height, weight and safety requirements?

A.

Q.

Are the attractions inspected?

A.

Attractions are inspected daily by the maintenance staff and by the employee operating the attraction. Attractions are also inspected yearly by the State Fire Marshal's Office and by our insurance company.

 

 

Q.

Are there EMT's, lifeguards, etc. at the park.

A.

There is at least one licensed EMT in the park when it is open. There are certified lifeguards at each pool in Splashtown USA.

Do you have to pay to park?

A.

Parking is FREE!

 

 

Q.

What if it rains?

A.

Guest safety is our #1 concern and unless it is raining heavy enough to jeopardize your safety, the park will remain open. Depending on the storm, we may be forced to close temporarily and re-open at a later time.
If there is LIGHT RAIN, the following attractions may close temporarily: Grand Prix Racers.
If there is HEAVY RAIN, the following attractions may close temporarily: Splashtown USA, Grand Prix Racers, Excalibur Roller Coaster, Wild Mouse Coaster.
If there is LIGHTNING, the following attractions close temporarily: Splashtown USA, Adult Bumper Boats, Balloon Race, Excalibur Roller Coaster, Flying Trapeze, Galaxi Roller Coaster, Sea Dragon, Thunder Falls Log Flume, Cactus Canyon, Kiddie Boats, Kiddie Bumper Boats.
If we are forced to close the parks for the day, the will issue a "Sun Pass", giving you the remaining time of your day. You must show your receipt and have the bracelet secured to your wrist.
If it is raining lightly there are usually no lines at the rides, so come prepared and still have lots of fun. Please note, there are no refunds. See also Safety.

Do you have strollers and wheelchairs?

A.

They may be rented at the gate. ID required.
Single-seat stroller: $7.00
Double-seat stroller: $10.00
Wheelchair: $10.00

Do you have lockers?

A.

Lockers are located in the waterpark near the Portland Pirates Paradise and under the Splashtown slides, as well as in the Funwalk Games area, behind the Heritage House of Gifts.

 

 

Q.

Can we bring food into the park?

A.

Yes, however no grills, no glass containers or alcohol.

 

 

Q.

Are there picnic tables?

A.

Yes, on a first come, first serve basis.

 

 

Q.

Do you have pay phones in the park?

A.

No.

 

 

Q.

Do you have life jackets for children in the waterpark?

A.

There are a limited number available and they are free on a first come, first serve basis.

 

 

Q.

Do you accept credit cards?

A.

Yes, MasterCard, Discover, Visa, and American Express are accepted at the Main Gate, Heritage House of Gifts, King Arthur's Gift Shop and at the Horizons Tiki Bar and Gift Shop.
MasterCard and Visa is accepted at Chester Fried Chicken, Hungry Bear, Poncho's Villa, and Snack Shack.

 

 

Q.

Can we bring in or do you serve alcohol?

A.

You are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages into the park. Beer and wine is served at the Funtoberfest Beer Garden.

 

 

Q.

Do you have kennels on site?

A.

No, we do not have kennels here at Funtown Splashtown U.S.A. However, 500 feet south of the park is Suntar Kennels. For more information, call 207-282-1948.

 

 

Q.

What is your policy on donations?

A.

Donation requests can be sent by mail or by fax. We do not accept donation requests by e-mail or by phone. All donation requests that are received are given to the Donations Committee. This committee reviews the request, and issues a decision which is sent to the requesting organization. A response will be sent within 2-3 weeks.

What is the name of the song that is played in the Astrosphere?

A.

The name of the song is 'Fire on High' by E.L.O. - Electric Light Orchestra.

   
Q. Can you smoke inside the park.
A. Smoking is permitted in designated areas only. See the park map for locations.
